Deputy Director General of IICA

Mr. Lloyd C. Day is a United States citizen and assumed his position as Deputy Director General of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) on July 1, 2012.

Started career with the Governor of California eventually becoming the Deputy Secretary of International Trade and Investment for California. Moved to Washington, D.C. to serve as Administrator of USDA ́s Agricultural Marketing Service, Head of Federal Government Affairs at Syngenta, and now Deputy Director General of IICA.

Mr. Day has received a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Stanford University and the University of Glasgow.

El señor Lloyd C. Day es ciudadano de los Estados Unidos y asumió su cargo como Subdirector General del Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA) el 1 de julio de 2012.

Inició su carrera en la oficina del Gobernador de California y eventualmente fue nombrado Subsecretario de Comercio e Inversión Internacional para el estado de California. Luego se mudó a Washington, D.C., donde se desempeñó como Administrador del Servicio de Mercadeo Agrícola del Departamento de Agricultura de los Estados Unidos (USDA) y como Jefe de Relaciones con el Gobierno Federal en Syngenta. Actualmente funge como el Subdirector General del IICA.

El señor Day obtuvo una licenciatura y una maestría de la Universidad de Stanford y de la Universidad de Glasgow.

    Lead Agriculture Economist in the Agriculture and Food Team of the Sustainable Development Department of the Latin America and Caribbean Region. Edward holds a B.S. in Marketing and a Ph.D. in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida.

    Andean Chapter Head, Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs at The Aspen Institute. Lina has done research on impact investing, angel investment and business acceleration methods. Lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and holds a Masters degree in public policy from the University of Chicago.

    Executive Director and Impact Strategist in the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Investing with Impact team. Juliana has been dedicated to sustainable and impact investing since 2018, and in her current role, she partners with financial advisors to deliver the full suite of integrated sustainable wealth solutions to their clients, including investment products, solutions, research and tools and analytics across multiple sustainability themes.
